About Us
Contemplate is a spin-out technology company from the University of Edinburgh, established in 2009. We are developing tools for programmers to improve the quality of software products.
Our tools will allow developers to produce more trustworthy software which saves the later costs of repair and end-customer downtime. Developers who use these tools will gain a competitive advantage and reduce their own costs and time-to-market.
We plan to make a restricted preview release of some of our tools available later in 2010.
An Informatics Spin-out

Research institutes include the Laboratory for Foundations of Computer Science, the largest concentration of research workers in the UK for theoretical Computer Science and the Mathematical Reasoning Group. These groups have a 30-year tradition of world-leading innovation in programming languages, formal methods, logic and theorem proving. Contemplate’s staff includes researchers and graduates from these groups.
